1-When we talk about Juan Alderete, we know about the bass player of many bands, how was the process to play and change on each project? And what did you learn?
Every band is different and you have to adjust your sound accordingly. I learned that if the band needed a bass player and had a bassist before me, then I did my best to get that bassist ‘sound because that is what that band is used to. It is hard for a band to add a new member so my job is to make that transition as easy as possible.
2-From your web site of pedals effects we can see a real teacher, always showing new pedals and gears, how much time do you work on this Project?
I wish I had more time but when I am not on tour, I spend a few days each week either on emails, shooting videos with Nick or going through the hundreds of pedals I receive.
3-Today you are playing on Marilyn Manson band, how they contact you and what was your reaction?
My friend Tyler Bates (famous film scorer) called me because we were in a band in the 90’s called Pet. They needed a bassist real fast and Tyler knew I would come in and learn the music in time for their shows that were coming up a few weeks later.
4-How was your reaction on the first contact with him?
Manson is cool. He just loves to create and so I respect that. He is always brainstorming on new ideas.
5-Let as know about your instruments and pedals on MM shows?
I play Warwick basses and Ampeg amps with Earthquaker Devices Hummingbird, Grand Orbiter and Bit Commander.
6-Tell as what happer with the fender precision accident? Is in a good condition now? How they fixit?
I used my old Fender on a song and I threw it at may bass cabinet and it split in half. My tech glued it back together and in two days, it was on stage again.
7-Going to your personal life, what do you do when you are not playing music? Sports? Movies? Bikes?
I love bikes and I ride on tour when I can. I have two travel bikes and the both fit in luggage. I also work out 5-6 times a week at a gym or in hotel gyms.
8-Out of MM, what is your next music project?, are you going back to Big Sir?
I am working on music for my band Halo Orbit. I have a lot of ideas. I am hoping to contribute to Manson’s next record s well.

1-Cuando hablamos de Juan Alderete hablamos del bajista que toco en muchas bandas, Como fue ese proceso de tocar y cambiar de proyectos y a aprendiste?
Cada banda es diferente y tener que ajustar el sonido acorde a cada una de ellas, aprendi que si la banda requiere un bajista tocaría como el anterior, hice lo mejor que pude para sonar como el anterior por que era el sonido que usaban. Es complicado para una banda tener a un nuevo miembro, así que mi trabajo era hacer una transición simple.
2-En tu site de pedales, podemos ver a un verdadero maestro, siempre mostrando nuevos pedales e equipamiento, cuanto tiempo trabajas en el proyecto?
Desearía tener mas tiempo para trabajar en esto, pero cuando estoy de gira (tour) uso solo unos días usando email y haciendo algunas tomas en video con Nick por los muchos pedales que me llegan.
3-En la actualidad tocas com Marilyn Manson, Como te contactaron y cual fue tu reacción?
Mi amigo Tyler Bates me llamo ya que tocábamos juntos en los 90`s (Pet). Ellos necesitaban un bajista lo antes posible por que tendrían que tocar en un par de semanas.
4-Como fue tu reacción cuando entraste en contacto con el la primera vez?
Manson es cool, El ama crear así que yo respeto eso. El siempre esta con nuevas ideas.
5-Contanos sobre tus bajos y pedales en los shows de MM
Toco con Bajos Warwick y amplificadores Ampeg, también uso pedales Earthquaker Devices Hummingbird, Grand Orbiter and Bit Commander.
6- Contanos que paso con el accidente de tu Fender Precisión?
Esta bien ahora? Como lo repararon?
Uso mi viejo Fender en algunas canciones y lo lance en mi gabinete y se partió a la mitad. Uno de los tectónicos lo pegaron y lo regresaron en 2 días, así que esta listo para tocar nuevamente.
7-hablando de tu vida personal, que haces cuando no tocas? Deportes? Películas? Bicicletas?
Amo las bicicletas, y andar en los momento que estoy en tour, tengo 2 que llevo con migo también voy al gimnasio 5 o 6 veces a la semana en los gimnasios de los hoteles.
8-dejando MM, cual es tu próximo proyecto? Vas a volver con Big Sir?
Estoy trabajando en la música de Halo Orbit, tengo muchísimas ideas. También espero trabajar en el próximo disco de Manson.
